Lingusamy`s Vettai, released on January 14 for Pongal has taken a good opening.

The film produced by UTV Motion Pictures and Thirrupathi Brothers released big overseas in over 100 screens in 15 countries.

In Tamil Nadu the movie was released in over 300 screens and in the rest of the country another 150. The total screen count for Vettai worldwide is approximately 550 screens, huge for a Tamil film.
